in cellitude

one twilight , as the great sun was mid splutter as it sunk below the horizon, ⋀∣☰X found herself sitting on the edge of her platform , staring out upon this world she now knew to be home.

it was easy to forget such a place had ever been alien to her . it was hard to remember whatever life she used to inhabit.




she thought about how over the years , the cells that make up her body die and replace themselves. that nothing about these hands of hers nor an lash on her eyelid was property of whoever this body once belonged to . like a parasite , these foul cells of hers had eaten herself up inside out. and as she realised this fact , she couldnt help but feel a little grief well up . for whatever life and future once belonged to whoever inhabited this existence , had been swallowed up and completely stolen by her and these stupid cells.






she tilted her head skyward away from the almost spent sun, whose rays licked greedily at her chin and neck

whose inferior cells cant seem to figure out how to replace themselves
